Loved the mood of the restaurant, if you are looking for a moody and cozy vibe this is it. Food was really good. The only reason I gave it a four star is because I would have appreciated more options for dinner. Putting that aside food was delicious and drinks were perfectly balanced flavor to alcohol ratio. Our server was 10 out of 10. More

It's valet parking but I'm unsure if it costs. I parked across the street where it's free. When you walk in it's a very nice atmosphere. There was a wait so we sat at the bar. I got the Passion Play drink which was okay. My friend ordered … More

The food was fresh and delicious. Hands down the best fried chicken we've had in town so far. The brisket burger was cooked to perfection. The greens had a slight spice to them that made them taste even better. The biscuits with the fresh strawberry jam were a great touch as well. We will be back for sure.

Went to La Lucha tonight and honestly had a really good experience overall. The smoked jalapeño wood roasted oysters were incredible and probably one of my favorite appetizers we ordered. The burger was solid, fries were great, and the fried chicken, while a little under-seasoned for my taste, was still super crunchy and juicy.
The absolute star of the meal though was the redfish on the half shell. Our waiter recommended it and I’m glad we listened because it ended up being the best dish by far. The salsa verde with the fish was such a good combination and balanced everything perfectly.

Only small complaint was that the timing of the food was a little all over the place. The burger came out first and the fries showed up pretty late after, but it honestly didn’t take away too much from the experience. Atmosphere was great, service was friendly, and overall it’s definitely a spot I’d come back to and recommend to others.

Food is made to order and is amazing! We dined outside while it was partly cloudy, wish we had a coverage, but aside from that it was good. Parking looking intimidating as approaching , so I parked away and walked to restaurant, only to find out they had vallet parking. Highly recommend this establishment! More

That was one of my favorite meals. I’ve had in a long time in Houston. In a sea of great restaurants, it’s hard to stand out. Star Rover did that by turning back the clock. From the big boy T-shirts on the servers to the simplification of the menu, they crushed it. Everything was perfect. From the decor, to the red and white check table, linens, and the music. It all set an amazing atmosphere. Prices were in line with everything else, but it wasn’t a barrage of options. Just good food and a casual environment. Layla was a fantastic server. Will be back often to make memories and relive them.
For the food: great twist on a shrimp cocktail, chopped steak was fantastic, and the sides were perfect.
